How the
queue works
The crew answers one message at a time. Everything you type waits in line for its turn. This is who goes first, and why a message sometimes gets skipped.
AWho goes first
Gifts
Always thanked first. Bigger gifts go before smaller ones.
Recent gifters
After a gift of 200 coins or more, your next 3 messages within 10 minutes skip ahead of normal chat. Another gift gives you 3 more.
Everyone else
First come, first served. A newer message never pushes out one that's already waiting.
When chat goes quiet, the three of them just talk to each other until someone writes again.
BWhy was my message skipped?
You already had a few messages in line, so the newest one wasn't added. One person can't fill the whole queue.
- Quiet chat: up to 6 waiting.
- Busy chat: 2, or 4 if you gifted recently.
Tip: wait for one of yours to be answered, then send the next.
The line was full (50 messages) and there was no room. A gifter's message that arrives while it's full takes the place of the newest normal message.
It waited more than 90 seconds without an answer, so it was dropped. Nobody needs a reply to a "hi" from two minutes ago. Messages from recent gifters never expire.
Tip: if it mattered, send it again.
The same message is already waiting, or was answered in the last 3 minutes. Caps, punctuation and emoji don't count, so "HI THEO!!" is the same as "hi theo".
Plain greetings like "hi" or "hello pip" are fine to repeat. Everyone who says hi still gets a hi back.
The same sentence was sent 5 times within 5 minutes, by anyone, so it's blocked for the rest of the stream. Copies still waiting are removed too.
The stream is about to end, so new messages aren't added. Anything already waiting still gets answered. You'll see this on screen:
No new messages
House rules
- One message at a time, oldest first.
- Gifts and recent gifters go first.
- Don't send a pile at once, and don't repeat yourself.
- Got skipped? It's not personal. Try again in a bit.
